A trail for everyone
The Trail des Aurigines is a nature race organized by the Aurignacourt association, in the charming village of Aurignac, in the heart of south-west France. Nestled in rolling hills, forests and panoramic views of the Pyrenees, this sporting event attracts trail enthusiasts looking for authenticity and accessible challenges.
As well as the sporting aspect, this event highlights Aurignac’s natural and cultural heritage. Classified as a village of character, Aurignac is known for its rich prehistoric and medieval past, including a museum dedicated to prehistory and the remains of its castle. The friendly atmosphere created by volunteers and local residents is a major factor in the success of the event.
To take part in the Trail des Aurigines is to combine physical effort with the discovery of an unspoilt region and to share a warm moment with a community passionate about nature and sport.

3 levels of difficulty
The 3 categories of athletes, from beginners to advanced :

9km / 400D+ (over 400m)
For beginners, this is the least time-consuming event, but you’ll need to train hard to succeed.
The latest addition! 9km and 400D+ for beginners or those who like it fast, very fast! A new route that passes by the Broucala spring, a wooded and hilly course with a superb view of the village as you approach the finish.

17km & 17km duet / 750D+ / 750D
For intermediate athletes, this event is more demanding, requiring more advanced training to succeed.
The almost 17km is no mean feat! But 750m of D+ is hard on the legs.
Lots of restarts, dips, bumps, a brand-new trail opened just for you, and a finish at the Château d’Aurignac.
Aim to arrive before sunset…
Le 17 c’est mieux à deux (duo)
It’s all the same as solo! Except that you start out WITH your favorite love buddy (the one who makes you laugh, the one who knows the right words to say, the one who motivates you, but above all the one who makes you run fast…) and you run the WHOLE race with him or her to the castle gate!

27km / 1100D+ (over 10 miles)
As a confirmed athlete, this is an intense event, requiring intensive physical preparation and training to succeed.
It’s the long one! A superb 27km and 1200 D+ route that will allow you to discover all the beauty of the Aurignac region, passing through the towns of ALAN, BOUSSAN and MONTOULIEU SAINT BERNARD. Superb views of the Pyrenees, historic sites, magnificent and demanding trails. An afternoon departure to enjoy the sunset… But only the fastest will be able to conquer the castle without lighting their headlamps!
for those who don’t run
