Ecotourism label, there are 4 green resorts in the Comminges Pyrénées destination.
This label is designed to promote nature tourism that is meaningful, has a human face, is local and respects local people and their land.
Station verte – what is this label?
Created in 1964, the Station Verte label was designed to promote rural communities as authentic tourist destinations.
The aim is to encourage rural tourism, preserve the terroir and support the local economy.Being a Green Resort today also means being sustainably committed. Since 2024, the criteria for obtaining the label have been aligned with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) defined by the UN. (The Green Resort team)

Two events a year …
The Station Verte label requires two festive events to highlight the towns and their assets:
- In spring, there’s the Ecotourism Festival
- In autumn, the local festival

Aurignac
Rich in 35,000 years of human history, Aurignac’s medieval assets and the restored keep of its Château Comtal, built atop a rocky spur, dominate the landscape, offering a breathtaking view of the Pyrenees.
In Aurignac, nature spoils you, the air is pure and outdoor activities such as the swimming pool in summer, numerous hikes and walks, on foot or mountain bike, will help you discover this verdant territory and lead you easily to the Musée de l’Aurignacien through the flower-filled streets, discovering the architecture of the medieval town. Take a stroll to the prehistoric shelter to complete your visit.
Local festivities include the Auri’thme Open Air Festival in the dungeon and the Aurigines Trail, inviting you to play sports and relax to the sound of music…
Local produce is well represented at the Saturday morning market and in the village, with numerous producers and the Aurignac’Ale brewery in the center.

Boulogne-sur-Gesse
This village is located in the heart of unspoilt countryside. Between lakes and wooded areas, it offers incredible panoramic views of the Pyrenees. The Côtes de Bieil et Montoussé hiking trail crosses a Natura 2000 area.
This medieval bastide is surrounded by nature, and the lake is an inviting place to relax and stroll, with a playground and swimming pool to refresh you in summer.
A little further from the town, the Lac de la Gimone offers a beach with activities such as pedal-boating, canoeing and paddle-boating, as well as supervised swimming in summer.
Local festivities include the Agricultural Fair every three years , and the Journées du Boulonnais.
Local produce and know-how take center stage, with the Wednesday morning market, as well as the village shops and the Tourist Office boutique.

L’Isle-en-Dodon
In Comminges, L’Isle-en-Dodon offers a peaceful atmosphere where the gentleness of the Save valley blends with the energy of the village. Strolls through the medieval village, an ancient county town, or to the lake sports complex or the dike will recharge your batteries.
Nature-wise, the lake and dyke offer a privileged setting for a stroll, picnic or waterside break. At the lake, pumptrack, nearby city stadium, sports fields, playground and outdoor gym machines, swimming pool in summer.
Two hiking trails and bike/mountain bike circuits are available. Fishing is also available.
Local festivities include the Foire du Printemps et du Goût (Spring and Taste Fair) and the Festival du Cinéma dans les Coteaux (Film Festival on the hillsides)
Local produce and know-how are in the spotlight! Short distribution channels take center stage at the Saturday morning market, as well as in village shops and the tourist office boutique. Visitors can discover a wide range of local specialities. The “La Huchette” bakery perpetuates the tradition of natural sourdough bread, kneaded the old-fashioned way and baked over a wood fire. The “Musée du Charron et de la Machine à coudre” (wheelwright and sewing machine museum) bears witness to the ancient trades that have marked local history.

Montréjeau
At the foot of the mountains, this royal bastide founded in 1272 boasts a remarkable built heritage, with the arcades of the central square, the Saint-Jean church, the Hôtel de Lassus, the Orangerie and not forgetting the Château de Valmirande.
Outdoor activities include Golf du Comminges and hiking, while the leisure center at the lake offers free access to fitness modules, beach volleyball, ping-pong tables and children’s games. In summer, free supervised bathing at the lake (handiplage label), pedal-boat, paddle-boat and canoe hire, and come and try out our aquapark on the lake. The commune has been awarded the Pavillon Bleu label for the quality of its bathing water.
A rich local and festive life, including the famous Folkolor festival.
Local produce and know-how: on Monday mornings, the open-air market takes over the town center. Among the many producers present, come and meet the Fromagers du Mont Royal (Meilleur Ouvrier de France) and taste the famous millasson from the Suberbielle patisserie.
