The Pyrénéennes
Les Pyrénéennes, an agricultural show initiated in 1988 by local cattle breeders, is now a not-to-be-missed event for Comminge locals and visiting holidaymakers alike!
A triennial event since 1991, the show has evolved. Today, it showcases all the agricultural sectors of the entire French-Spanish and Andorran Pyrenean chain. It encourages encounters with the farming world, schoolchildren and the general public. Welcome to the Pyrenees!
Les Pyrénéennes, national agricultural show
Les Pyrénéennes is one of the most important agricultural fairs in France, and takes place every 3 years at the Parc des Expositions du Comminges in Villeneuve de Rivière. It brings together a huge number of exhibitors and hundreds of farm animals, not to mention thousands of trade visitors and families discovering or rediscovering the rural environment and its many assets. It’s a major event every 3 years.
Next edition of the Pyrénéennes: September 2027

Testimonial to an edition under the sign of “transmission”.
For each edition, the organizing committee defines a theme.
The 13th edition of the show was dedicated to the transmission of farming know-how, taking into account the problems of resources (water, wood, energy…) and the difficulties of taking over farms. It was also an opportunity to show the younger generations what agriculture and its sectors are all about, and to promote Pyrenean culture.

A festive & cultural program 100% Pyrenean
The Pyrenees are also an opportunity to attend concerts and meet bandas at the show and in the stands.
- Concerts: Nadau, Sangria Gratuite Le Décibel …
- Traditional Occitan songs with groups like Panda’s Cover gang, les Brass’eurs band …
- La Nuit des bandas organized in partnership with the Condom Bandas Festival, a drone show about the Pyrenees and The White Night…
- Pyrenean tradition, the Rallye des trompes du Comminges, the Troubadours du Mont-Royal, Eths Micalets … and a grand bal
