Les Nuits Fraîches – Today’s traditional music and the mountain music of tomorrow!

‘Les Nuits Fraîches’, focusing on today’s new scene in traditional music and the mountain music of tomorrow, which – through its reinterpretation of traditional instruments (electro-acoustic vielles, bohas, percussion) and through hybridisation with electronic and DIY instrument-making, are inventing a new kind of trance – a pop music that is intelligent, danceable, at times virtuosic and, above all… full of meaning and truth!

● 8.00 pm – Concert by the band Storm: With Storm, Guilhem Desq has taken the hurdy-gurdy into a whole new dimension. Distorted, amplified and propelled by rock energy and electro beats, this medieval instrument becomes a machine for riffs and trance, hailed by global stars PANTERA for his cover of “Cowboys from Hell”, which has been viewed over 1.7 million times on YouTube.

Dazzling virtuosity, stage presence, cinematic tension: Storm is a sonic explosion that blurs the boundaries between tradition and modernity. An intense, magnetic performance, tailor-made to electrify a standing audience.

● 10.00 pm – Concert by Super Parquet: An unclassifiable collective from Auvergne, Super Parquet propels the traditional music of the Massif Central into a resolutely contemporary dimension and onto the world’s biggest stages: ROSKILDE FESTIVAL (Denmark), VIEILLES CHARRUES… Cabrettes, hurdy-gurdies and Occitan songs rub shoulders with analogue machines, electronic layers and hypnotic beats.

The result: a raw, festive, earth-shaking trance, where the bourrée becomes a ritual and the traditional dance turns into a sensory experience. Straddling rural heritage and the underground club scene, Super Parquet reinvents tradition to make it resonate here and now.
