Occitans by birth or adoption, those who speak the langue d’oc a little, a lot, passionately, madly or not at all, welcome!
Passa-Pòrts, qu’ei aquò?
Over 20 years ago, a festival was born in Comminges to promote the Occitan language and, through it, local traditions. But Occitania doesn’t stop at the borders of Comminges, and the Passa-Ports festival encourages encounters and exchanges with Occitan speakers from near and far.
So, in 2026, an artist from Aran, a bohemian from Gers, a duo from Luchon, a quartet from Languedoc, a journalist from Paris, and an Italian director who makes films in Occitan were all brought together for this year’s edition, and so it goes every year. PassaPòrts is also era Vrespada deths Gafets, in which some 300 secondary school students studying Occitan take part.
Passa-Pòrts is also a festival where the public is invited to take part in readings of texts in Occitan, workshops and courses, an urban walk or street entertainment…
Culture and Occitan: a successful fusion in Comminges
In the heart of the Commingois Pyrenees, Saint-Gaudens comes alive with the colors and sounds of Occitania for the Passa-Pòrts festival.
