Even before it was officially labelled a “remarkable tree”, this beech became a star. It came second in the list of the most beautiful trees of 2014, representing the former Midi-Pyrénées region. Nestling in the heart of the forest above Marignac, this beech has been nicknamed the “fruit of the rock” by the association Arbres et paysages d’Antan (APA).

To get there, take the “Chemin de la Liberté” memorial trail – round trip walking time: 2.5 hours – round trip distance: 5.7 km.

The Charter of Commitment was developed by and for professionals in partnership with the Comminges-Pyrénées Tourism Office. It highlights producers from all fields and chefs who work according to best practices, promote Comminges products, and share their respective expertise.
