Steps

Step 1
Park your vehicle on Place du Sabotier, opposite the church, near the pretty renovated wash house.
Step 2
Follow the sign for ""Mairie, salle des fêtes"" (town hall, village hall), turn left onto Rue d'Amplan to climb up to the higher part of the village. Then turn right and climb the Chemin de Bouve hill (signposted). You will be rewarded with a lovely view of the village.
Step 3
Continue climbing the cobbled street, which is quite steep for most of the way up. Turn left, then right (there is a sign for ""Bouves"").
Step 4
You will reach the first barns as you walk along a meadow on your left. Further on, you will come across two drinking troughs: one in an old sarcophagus (!) and one made of cement.
Step 5
Keep on the main path, marked in yellow, ignoring the dead-end tracks leading off to the sides.
Step 6
You will arrive at the track descending from the Col des Ares. Turn left to descend the track towards the hamlet of Vignaut (sign).
Step 7
Stay on this track for about 1.5 km, then take the path climbing slightly to the right (yellow markings). The end of the track is reserved for mountain bikes.
Step 8
Walk along a large meadow on your left. The path descends and you will come to the first houses of the hamlet of Vignaut. Turn left to join the small paved road.
Step 9
After 500m, you will join the GR86 on the road descending towards Malvezie. Stay on this road for about 1.5km to enter the village of Malvezie.
Step 10
Go down Rue de la Carrère, pass the war memorial and you will find the wash house and your starting point.

New - The Tastes & Flavors Guide

While eating well without breaking the bank is a major concern for our fellow citizens, short supply chains are thriving in Comminges. Now more than ever, there has been a growing need for a guide that lists producers, restaurateurs, and food professionals who sell their creations directly to consumers and work with local products in an ethical manner.

From Farm to Table with Complete Transparency: The Charter

The Charter of Commitment was developed by and for professionals in partnership with the Comminges-Pyrénées Tourism Office. It highlights producers from all fields and chefs who work according to best practices, promote Comminges products, and share their respective expertise.

The guide “Goûts et Saveurs en Comminges” is not just a directory of businesses. It is much more than that. As you turn the pages, you’ll also find recipes, profiles, and interviews.
