Steps

Step 1
From the Salles town hall car park, turn right towards the centre of the village, then left towards Sode (signpost 13).
Step 2
Follow the path past a farm and then up into the woods.
Step 3
Very quickly, the steep switchbacks take you higher up and you can enjoy a few gaps in the trees for a short break. Higher up, the trail becomes less steep.
Step 5
A sign points to the village of Artigue on the right along the GR10. Continue straight ahead and you will soon emerge from the forest and see the village of Sode (900 m) in front of you. Magnificent views over the Luchon valley.
Step 4
The return journey takes the same route.
