Set in parkland with century-old trees facing the Pic du Cagire (1900m), this site has more than one surprise in store for you, with its mini onyx quarry, mined in the 1930s, and its natural cave. It's a place full of history and charm.

Our gîte consists of a bedroom with a double bed (140cm), a living room with a double sofa bed (140cm) on the lounge side; the dining room and kitchen side opens onto your porch from where you have a breathtaking view of the Cagire, and to the right onto the private terrace where you can enjoy the barbecue and have your meals under the wisteria. From the kitchen, a door leads to the shower room and WC.

The gîte de l'érable pourpre is located in a small, picturesque and authentic mountain village. The gentle chimes of the church, the bells of the sheep and the birdsong will take you into another world, that of the tranquillity of a village in the Pyrenean foothills perched on its rock at an altitude of around 620m, just opposite the Pic du

Cagire. Hiking trails start from the village in all directions. You have a rendezvous with nature. The deer roar in autumn and sporting activities all year round: hiking, donkey trekking, horse-riding, aqua trekking, accrobranche, climbing, canyoning, caving, mountain bike hire, mountain scooter hire, electric bike hire, snowshoeing, skiing (depending on the season).

You're at the heart of a lively, dynamic and diverse microcosm, with a host of activities on offer around Arbon: producers and craftspeople will welcome you for a visit or a course (wild basket-making, wood-turning, pottery, soap-making, honey-making, cheeses, jewellery, etc.), watercolour courses, massages, walks or sound massages, etc. Ideally situated between Saint Bertrand de Comminges and Arbas, 30 minutes from Le Mourtis and its ski slopes or in the other direction from the Salies du Salat SPA, 40 minutes from Luchon and the Spanish border, 1h30 from the Pic du Midi. Also nearby are the Créagire plant and art maze at Sengouagnet, the wool farm at Herran, Bonnefont Abbey and its cultural programme, and Saint Gaudens, 20 minutes away, with its cinema and theatre…

Everything is within easy reach. The lively, bustling Aspet market 7 km away will give you the opportunity to combine business with pleasure, and all the shops in the village will add to your shopping experience: local produce shop, 3 bakeries, patisserie, Carrefour express, chemist, florist, beautician, ceramics and bric-a-brac, woodworkers, silk-screen printers, designer boutiques, clothes shop, etc.
