About

After revisiting the fest-noz in last year's play Tsef Zon(e), the C'hoari dance company is back in the Comminges with a creation tailor-made for bistros. It's our tour!

The bar, the place where people gather, meet up and (re)get to know each other: this is the source of inspiration and the playground for Barrez. The C'hoari company, led by Pauline Sonnic and Nolwenn Ferry, weaves together contemporary dance, everyday life and Breton culture in a choreography that is powerful, demanding and convivial.

It's a daring challenge: to bring art to the bar and create a genuine complicity with the public, both occasional and regular customers. Let's take back these places that are disappearing from villages and reaffirm their essential character to the community!

The C'hoari company (which means "game" in Breton) is made up of a duo of dancers with contemporary backgrounds who are looking at their roots, meeting places and what brings us together.

Pauline Sonnic and Nolwenn Ferry met while training at the Centre national de danse contemporaine in Angers. During their training, which was rich in cultural diversity, the young dancers explored their relationship with the cultural heritage of Brittany.

The company's ethos is one of adventure, simplicity and conviviality. A creative process emerges: the desire to return to what they consider to be more "essential" leads them to make contact with those who perpetuate traditional culture. Thanks to their singular yet complementary personalities, they created a common style to serve their dance.

They create a sensitive dialogue between improvisation and outdoor dance.

New - The Tastes & Flavors Guide

While eating well without breaking the bank is a major concern for our fellow citizens, short supply chains are thriving in Comminges. Now more than ever, there has been a growing need for a guide that lists producers, restaurateurs, and food professionals who sell their creations directly to consumers and work with local products in an ethical manner.

From Farm to Table with Complete Transparency: The Charter

The Charter of Commitment was developed by and for professionals in partnership with the Comminges-Pyrénées Tourism Office. It highlights producers from all fields and chefs who work according to best practices, promote Comminges products, and share their respective expertise.

The guide “Goûts et Saveurs en Comminges” is not just a directory of businesses. It is much more than that. As you turn the pages, you’ll also find recipes, profiles, and interviews.
