9pm: Concert: sparkling, dreamlike music. Jiang Nan, Louise Grévin and Ferdinand Doumerc are renowned musicians in their respective fields, and have come together to form a trio with an original instrumentation. Somewhere between folk, traditional Chinese music, jazz and contemporary music, Parade spreads a novel sound, benefiting from a strong sonic identitý: the broad palette of the guzheng (a Chinese string instrument as reminiscent of the mandolin as of the kora, the harp as of an unclassifiable percussion) responds to the nobility, lyricism and strength of the cello, while the saxophone brings an almost vocal colour to the ensemble, an evocative breath. This Parade does not take its name from the thundering military parade, but is more reminiscent of the parade of love, made up of gentleness, seduction and flashes of brilliance. While its approach is essentially subdued, Parade seeks power, strength in a whisper, a firm hand in a velvet glove. Not excluding heady grooves and touches of humour, the trio's music is full of imagery, immersing the listener in a bath of sensations.
