Les mounaques sont de sortie pour faire la fête !
What are ‘mounaques’? They are life-size puppets, dressed and posed to create the illusion of a real person.
This eagerly awaited event transforms the village into a veritable open-air theatre, where the Mounaques – these handcrafted, life-size figures – come to life in original, funny and sometimes surprising scenes. They’ll be there waiting for you to have your photo taken with them!
Locals and visitors alike wander through the streets discovering these imaginative creations, in a warm and festive atmosphere.
To mark the occasion, the festival also features a car boot sale and a farmers’ market, offering visitors the chance to hunt for bargains, discover local produce and enjoy a convivial moment in the heart of the village.
When it comes to meals, don’t forget to bring your own cutlery!
