After an overview of techniques, using the twelve works in the AstrOlabe as examples, the workshop will consist of experimenting with the creation of a drawing, from reflection on the subject, the choice of framing, the pencilling phase, right through to inking.

Duration: 2h30

*4pm > historical guided tour of Bonnefont Abbey

Plunge into the heart of history with Bonnefont Abbey, a majestic Cistercian abbey founded in 1136. Today, only a few vestiges remain, but they still bear the echo of a past grandeur. During your visit, you'll discover how the abbey functioned, the role of the different buildings and, above all, the daily life of the monks, punctuated by work, prayer and perfectly regulated organisation. After several centuries of expansion and influence, the abbey went into slow decline, until the French Revolution and the dramatic sale of the Biens Nationaux. Why was Bonnefont dismantled? How was it destroyed?

Let us guide you through the incredible and fascinating history of Bonnefont, a human, spiritual and heritage adventure that continues to fascinate to this day.

Duration: 1 hour

*5pm > guided tour of the medieval garden

Discover the secrets of a medieval monastic garden, a place of peace and learning where monks grew medicinal, aromatic and vegetable plants. On this guided tour, explore the ingenious organisation of this symbolic and utilitarian garden, and immerse yourself in a world where each plant had its place, its function and sometimes even its spiritual virtue. A timeless interlude to understand how nature, work and spirituality intertwined at the heart of monastic life.

New - The Tastes & Flavors Guide

While eating well without breaking the bank is a major concern for our fellow citizens, short supply chains are thriving in Comminges. Now more than ever, there has been a growing need for a guide that lists producers, restaurateurs, and food professionals who sell their creations directly to consumers and work with local products in an ethical manner.

From Farm to Table with Complete Transparency: The Charter

The Charter of Commitment was developed by and for professionals in partnership with the Comminges-Pyrénées Tourism Office. It highlights producers from all fields and chefs who work according to best practices, promote Comminges products, and share their respective expertise.

The guide “Goûts et Saveurs en Comminges” is not just a directory of businesses. It is much more than that. As you turn the pages, you’ll also find recipes, profiles, and interviews.
