In a series of immense drawings, Jata takes you on a journey through time and across continents.
The AstrOlabe, at the heart of this exhibition, will transport visitors of all ages to 12 destinations imagined and interpreted by the cartoonist.
An immersive black-and-white adventure, a journey through time and space, this exhibition offers a humanist view of our environment and our history, and questions our place and role as humans on this Earth.

During the two years it took to create these works, Jata continued his exploration of black-and-white drawing practices, begun thirteen years ago when he first arrived in Comminges. Here he uses a striking, meticulous, teeming and artistically radical graphic mode. The choice of black ink on white paper gives this gallery of paintings a dramatic, almost photographic dimension. The techniques used are in keeping with the creative logic that has been his for years: mainly the use of pens and brushes, in the old-fashioned way, on impressively large sheets of paper. Following in the tradition of the draughtsmen of the last century and the copyist monks of the ancient scriptoriums, Jata is previewing his new artistic concept at Bonnefont, which he has nurtured with the full force of his imagination.
