Les Nuits Fraîches: Today’s traditional music and the mountain music of tomorrow!
‘Les Nuits Fraîches’, focusing on today’s new scene in traditional music and the mountain music of tomorrow, which – through its reinterpretation of traditional instruments (electro-acoustic vielles, bohas, percussion) and through hybridisation with electronic and DIY instrument-making, invent a new kind of trance – a pop music that is intelligent, danceable, at times virtuosic and, above all… full of meaning and truth!
● 6.00 pm – Salvatjonas concert: Salvatjonas draws on Occitan roots to conjure up a raw and soulful soundscape. A passionate voice, organic percussion, taut strings: instinctive music where tradition becomes a terrain for exploration. Somewhere between an earthy trance and visceral poetry, Salvatjonas crafts an intense, free-spirited universe that is deeply rooted yet resolutely contemporary. A magnetic stage presence.
● 10.00 pm – Neonymus (ESP) concert: Alone on stage, Neønymus summons the memory of the world. Mesmerising vocal loops, primitive percussion, bones, stones, flutes and ancestral instruments combine to create an organic and hypnotic trance, straddling the line between ritual and concert with unrivalled mastery. Somewhere between a sound ritual and contemporary creation, he crafts a raw and vibrant universe, where the voice becomes matter, breath and percussion. An immersive, almost shamanic experience that connects today’s stage to humanity’s most ancient rhythms.
