About
The Route d'Occitanie – CIC, part of the UCI Europe Tour calendar, is a cycling race between the Pyrenees and the Mediterranean. Created in 1977, it attracts the best teams in the world every year, just a few weeks before the Tour de France!
Stage 2: Cordes-sur-Ciel Grand Site Occitanie / Saint-Gaudens.
Jean-Marc Marino describes the stage: “A picture-postcard start from Cordes-sur-Ciel, but there’s no time to dawdle: it climbs right from the start to kick off the battle for the breakaways. Then, the Gers valley sets the pace… before a tense finale around Saint-Gaudens, tailor-made for puncheurs where the sprinters will have to grit their teeth. And as is often the case, Saint-Gaudens, a faithful favourite, promises a lively finish.”
