Created in 1977 under the name &#8220;Route du Sud&#8221;, it showcases the varied landscapes of the Occitanie region, between plains, valleys and Pyrenean passes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Half a century of cycle racing in Occitanie. A cycling race that&#8217;s 100% South-West France and its mythical Pyrenean passes! The generally demanding course includes several mountain stages in the Pyrenees, making it ideal terrain for climbers. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Route d&#8217;Occitanie is also appreciated for its friendly atmosphere and local roots: it passes through villages and towns where the public gather to cheer on the riders.
